Our RI teachers will present at 10:00 a.m. MT (12:00 p.m. ET)

Thousands of immigrant children have been in the custody of the U.S. government, many under appalling conditions that violate U.S. law and standards set up by the agencies responsible for the care of these children. TACD demands the U.S. government end the detention and criminalization of immigrant children and their families.

Rhode Island teachers will participate in Teach-In for Freedom to demand justice for detained migrant children

Several Rhode Island teachers, including the 2018 RI Teacher of the Year Kristin Hayes-Leite, will travel to El Paso, with their colleagues from across the country to take part in the Teach-In for Freedom.

More on this

TACD calls on all educators to act as mandatory reporters and speak out against the atrocities being perpetrated against immigrant children in U.S. government custody.

About the Teach In
